Rocket launch from Vandenberg AFB, October 2nd, 1999, 1901 PST

Image details: Here is an image of last Saturday night's Minuteman II launch from Vandenberg AFB. I took it from the La Punta observation area about 2-1/2 miles from the silo. This is the exhaust plume of either the 2nd or 3rd stage. The X pattern is real and not an artifact.
